Description

Clark Ashton Smith - The Were-Demon Illustration Original Art (c. 1930s). A wild portrait of a fur-clad, fanged demon that looks every bit a werewolf, yet reflects Clark Ashton Smith's fascination with sketching demons of every imaginable form. From the prolific weird fiction master, this is among his most delightfully strange and oddly charming creations. Rendered in graphite on art paper with an image area of 3.25" x 4.5". Toning, creasing, adhesive residue staining, marginal staple holes, minor edge tear, and handling wear. Signed by Smith in the lower left image area. In Very Good condition.
From the Howard Lowery Collection.
