Description

Kenneth Pauling Riley - Scientific History Paintings Original Art Group of 3 (undated). A group of three paintings showing scientific advances through history by realist painter and illustrator Ken Riley. The scenes are likely from a series and show: the invention of early shoes in what appears to be Ancient Rome; testing of the Voltaic Pile, the first electric battery; and an early system of weights and measures. The paintings are oil on Masonite with sizes ranging from 20" x 27" to 19.5" x 28". The battery painting is signed by Riley in the bottom right. Some spot staining surface/handling wear. Overall, in Very Good condition.
