This captivating illustration of a lovely blonde in a revealing bathing suit on a sunny beach graced the cover of Edward McCallin's racy 1968 romance novel, aptly titled Blonde on a Blanket. The piece was created by Paul Rader, whose celebrated romance covers of the 1960s are praised for their stunning beauty and effortless portrayal of sensual female characters. This alluring cover was executed in gouache over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 10" x 16". Presents with some minor scuffing, smudging, and corner creasing.
