Description

Frank Frazetta Battlestar Galactica: Attack Painting Original Art (1978). This masterpiece is one of four paintings Frazetta created as promotion for the Battlestar Galactica TV series in 1979, with the images published in TV Guide. This painting -- undoubtedly the most detailed and all-encompassing single image of the group -- was also published as the wraparound cover art for Battlestar Galactica 2: The Cylon Death Machine (Berkley Books, 1979).
Wonderfully rendered, this luscious piece shows Frazetta at his best. From the tense grouping of figures on the left, to menace of the Cylon Raiders in the sky, this is a truly striking image. Created in oil on board with an image area of 23.5" x 17.5". Signed and dated in the lower right. Open-front framed to 30.25" x 24.5". The paint is thick and textured in places giving a real feeling of depth to the work. In Excellent condition.
Comes with a copy of Battlestar Galactica 2: The Cylon Death Machine.
