Description

Carl Barks I Found It! I Keep It! Uncle Scrooge Painting Original Art (1975). Uncle Scrooge makes sure a shotgun is by his side while chipping out a rich vein of glittering gold, in this 1975 oil on Masonite painting. Scrooge's retelling of his early adventures, gathering his fortune in the gold mines, streams, and fields, scratching away at his claim while keeping scoundrels at bay has become the stuff of comic book legend. This superb piece, noted by collectors as CB OIL 94, first saw print in 1981 in the pages of The Fine Art of Walt Disney's Donald Duck by Carl Barks. It's a sweet but small portrait, measuring approximately 8" x 10", tastefully framed (without glass) to an overall size of 16.25" x 17.75", and is in Excellent condition. That bare spot on your wall needs a touch of gold to brighten things up, don'tcha think? From the Kerby Confer Collection.
