Showcase #22 Green Lantern (DC, 1959) CGC VF- 7.5 Off-white pages. This iconic book features the origin and first appearance of the Silver Age Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), as well as the first appearances of Abin Sur and Carol Ferris (the future Star Sapphire). This is a notoriously difficult book to obtain in mid- or high-grade condition; that, plus the upcoming Lanterns TV series have turned up the heat under this key issue. The cover and art are by the Emerald Crusader's definitive artist, Gil Kane. It is currently #11 on Overstreet's list of Top 50 Silver Age Comics. Overstreet 2024 VF 8.0 value = $21,400.
