Adventure Comics #43 (DC, 1939) CGC VF 8.0 Off-white to white pages. With this issue, Adventure Comics went to an all-color interior format -- previous issues had some pages printed in two colors. Fred Guardineer provided the dramatic "sinking ship" cover, while Wayne Boring and Bob Kane both contributed story art. The original gas-masked Sandman was the feature attraction. This attractive book is topped only by the Mile High copy in the current census report. Overstreet 2011 VF 8.0 value = $2,478. CGC census 8/11: 1 in 8.0, 1 higher.
