Description
God Nose #1 First Printing (Jack Jackson, 1964) Condition: FN/VF. While the Underground Comix movement began with R. Crumb's Zap Comix #1, there were earlier books that paved the way. Here's one of the very first, Jack Jackson's God Nose. Jack took up the pen name Jaxon while attending college in Austin, Texas, and while there he created the God Nose character in the University of Texas publication, Texas Ranger. Shortly after, he published this one-shot, and distributed it among his friends at school. That's where this copy originated; a former UT student, still living in Austin, brought this to Heritage, telling us she got it directly from Jack in '64. The book remains tough to come by, so we welcome any new copies that surface. Grab this one while you can! Fogel's Underground Comix Price Guide FN 6.0 value = $3,500; NM- 9.2 value = $7,000.Auction Info
