Description
Scoop Comics #2 (Chesler, 1942) CGC VG+ 4.5 Off-white to white pages. Give some serious thought to this copy of an obscure comic that usually sells for big multiples of its guide value. It's also quite rare in high grades; of the five copies we've offered prior to this one, only one had a higher grade -- FN 6.0 -- and the rest were graded GD+ 2.5 or lower! There are currently 21 Universal grade copies on the CGC census, 15 of which range from VG 4.0 to No Grade.Rocket Boy's ongoing features began in this issue, which also boasts an injury-to-eye panel. The classic cover features Master Key in a fight for his life against a sea serpent, and presents quite well given its grade. CGC notes, "Two small pieces of tape on interior cover." Overstreet 2024 VG 4.0 value = $972. CGC census 1/26: 3 in 4.5, 3 higher.
