Description

Tim Sale Batman Ghosts: A Legends of the Dark Knight Halloween Special Double Splash Pages 34 & 35 Original Art (DC, 1995). After awakening to a maniacal laugh coming from downstairs of Wayne Manor, Batman finds his friend and guardian, Alfred Pennyworth tied up at the hands of Joker. Batman Ghosts served as a "Dickensian" type story where Bruce's dreams are tortured by various ghosts, and is a sequel to the iconic team of writer Jeph Loeb and artist Tim Sale's Batman: The Long Halloween, which director Matt Reeves has said influenced his 2022 film The Batman. Ink over graphite on conjoined Bristol boards with an overall image area of 20.25" x 20.5". Lightly toned, with soft handling and edge wear. Signed in lower right and in Excellent condition.
