This issue features an iconic cover by Bob Kane, depicting the Caped Crusader looming over a scene of trouble -- one of his favorite pastimes. Includes the first appearances of the Batplane, the Batarang, Julie Madison, and Batman's first super-powered foe, the Monk. Also includes a Slam Bradley story by Superman creators Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Currently #9 on Overstreet's list of Top 100 Golden Age Comics. CGC notes, "Restoration includes: small amount of color touch on cover, cover reinforced, cover cleaned, interior lightened."
