Description
J. M. Wilcox (as Jayem Wilcox) Weird Tales Interior Illustrations Original Art Group of 3 (Popular Fiction Publishing, 1932-1933). The first of these three pieces appeared in Weird Tales December 1932 for the story "The Lives of Alfred Kramer". The February 1933 issue included the illustration for "The Fire Vampires". Lastly, the May 1933 issue included the illustration for "Spawn of the Sea". All three of these illustrations by Wilcox accompanied stories written by Donald Wandrei. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of approximately 13" x 14.5". The boards are toned, with handling wear and graphite smudging. There are corner creases and pinholes on the boards. In Very Good condition.From the Howard Lowery Collection.
