Sam Kieth and Mike Dringenberg Sandman #1 Story Page 28 Original Art (DC, 1989). There are a few stories that stick with you in life. Stories that change us, makes us question the nature of reality, of life, of love, and of Death. Undoubtedly one such story is that of The Sandman, of the Endless. His journey continues to follow us through the waking world and--in our dreams. Here in this panel page we see Dream as he feigns his passing in order to escape his 75-year incarceration from the hands of the Order of the Ancient Mysteries. This page from the iconic first issue of this important series was created in ink, white paint, and Zipatone over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 17". Slight toning, paste-ups, editorial marks/notes, smudging, and some handling wear. In Very Good condition.
