This milestone Golden Age issue introduces Wonder Woman with her origin and first appearance, while also debuting Paradise Island, later known as Themyscira. Elsewhere in the issue, Starman and Dr. Mid-Nite join the Justice Society of America, Doctor Fate appears with his updated helmet, Shiera Sanders makes an appearance, and the Hop Harrigan text stories begin. It features a cover by E. E. Hibbard and story art contributions by H. G. Peter, Jack Burnley, Sheldon Moldoff, and Bernard Baily. Currently listed on Overstreet's Top 100 Golden Age Comics.
