Batman #1 (DC, 1940) CGC FN/VF 7.0 Off-white to white pages. Prior to this auction, it's been over two years since we've seen a nicer copy of the Golden Age key that ranks #4 on Overstreet's Top Golden Age Comics list. In fact, in our over 20 years of auctioning, we've seen only a handful of copies with higher grades. Most of the copies we've offered during that period have been restored, coverless, or missing pages. Not this one! Featured in this issue are the first appearances of the Joker and the Cat (aka Catwoman). The iconic cover and interior art are by co-creator Bob Kane and Jerry Robinson. Overstreet 2022 FN 6.0 value = $201,000; VF 8.0 value = $457,000. CGC census 3/23: 3 in 7.0, 15 higher.CGC Grader Notes:
