Description
John Romita Sr. and Mike Esposito Avengers #117 Cover Original Art (Marvel, 1973). It's almost an Invaders reunion as Captain America and Namor the Sub-Mariner slug it out on this classic cover! The Human Torch isn't here, but that's Sunfire's arm, so that's at least close. Two text elements are missing: the second half of Cap's quote "Someone has stolen the Evil Eye -- the weapon that can destroy the world!" and the caption "You'll never guess the identity of our mystery super-villain!" Created in ink over blue pencil on World Color Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Lightly toned, the page comes with a flip-up acetate sheet with modern day reproductions of the logo and some word balloons. In Very Good condition.More information about John Romita Sr..
