Rob Liefeld The New Mutants Annual #6 Cable Pin-Up Original Art (Marvel, 1990). A full-body shot of Cable... one of the best looks at the New Mutants' hardened leader only a few months after his first appearance in New Mutants #87. Co-creator and rising star Rob Liefeld pulled-out all the stops for this piece -- Cable is geared-up with huge shoulder pads and guns (defining attributes of Liefeld's dynamic characters), sporting cybernetic enhancements which define the mysterious mutant as he charges into battle. Ink and Zipatone over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image size of 10.25" x 15.25". Slight toning, text paste-up, tape along the edges, with a small spot stain at the upper right and light ink fading.
