Showcase #17 Adventures on Other Worlds (DC, 1958) CGC NM- 9.2 Off-white pages. This copy stands alone atop CGC's census at NM- 9.2. This is a spectacular specimen of an issue that is uncommonly difficult to find in high grade. CGC has certified only nine copies with grades of VF 8.0 or better. The book has the origin and first appearance of Adam Strange, written by Gardner Fox. It also contains the first appearances of Alanna and Sardath and features a Gil Kane flying saucer cover with Mike Sekowsky interior art. Currently #1 on Overstreet's list of Top Ten Sci-Fi Comics, it also ranks #36 on Overstreet's Top 50 Silver Age Comics list. Overstreet 2024 NM- 9.2 value = $17,500.
