Description

Steve Ditko Eon Fanzine #3 Mr. A Splash Page Illustration Original Art (Robert Gustaveson, 1969). This one-page Mr. A story originally was published in Eon #3. The trade volume covered the years 1966-1973 for this inspired and influential comic creator. Mr. A was one of Ditko's more politically and socially conscious-minded characters. As evidenced by this piece, he practiced (and preached) a philosophy of strict "black and white/Good vs. Evil". Much of his rhetoric was in line with Ayn Rand's "Objectivism". Whatever your beliefs, this is a fine work from the man that also created the Question, Blue Beetle, Hawk and Dove, the Creeper, and is well-remembered for his work on on Spider-Man and Doctor Strange. This piece was created in ink over graphite on 8.75" x 11.75" Bristol board. Toned, with a bit of whiteout art correction. Text is hand-lettered paste-up. In Excellent condition.
