Description

Don Heck Tales of Suspense #39 Iron Man Story Page 12 Original Art (Marvel, 1963). Iron Man's first appearance was just a 13-page story, and only eight pages featured Tony Stark wearing the armor! This one features some truly iconic "Iron Man" tropes. It may be his "Old #1" first suit of armor... the cast iron grey suit, but we see bullets bounce off his chest, Stark employ a magnet, and a reference to using a "transistor" to do some crazy pseudo-science hooplah.
This big twice-up scale piece of history, from the formative years of the Marvel Universe, was created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 12.5" x 18.5". The toned board has pinholes in the corners and is in Excellent condition.
