Description

Lonesome Ghosts Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). "Who did that? Who did that?" Donald shouts to the open air, putting the fight in the fight and flight response. This 12-field animation drawing comes from the highly acclaimed theatrical short Lonesome Ghosts. Produced by Burt Gillett (1891 - 1971), the short was released on 12/24/1937 and followed Mickey, Donald, and Goofy as they followed a call to catch a group of ghosts in an abandoned house. The ghosts have no intention of being caught, though, and give the trio a good scare. This drawing of everyone's favorite furious duck can be found at about the 4:52 mark of the short when Donald is spooked by one of the ghosts from behind. The full figure is rendered in graphite with color pencil and has a note written below in red. The drawing measures approximately 3.75'' x 2.75'' in a 9.5'' x 7.5'' mat window. The overall mat measures about 14'' x 11''. There is light age-related toning, minor handling wear, and faint debris. Very Good condition overall.
