Description

Modern Inventions Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). This 1937 Disney short was the first to be directed by Jack King (1895 - 1958) and included the first contribution 'The Duck Man' Carl Barks (1901 - 2000) made in the Donald Duck franchise. Donald found himself in the Museum of Modern Inventions, struggling to interact with several of the futuristic inventions that are displayed there. This enormous 12 field 5-peghole drawing of Donald can be found at roughly the 6:51 mark in the short before Donald, clad in a bowler hat, tries to swindle the last invention: an automated barber chair. He gives the audience a smug smile as he holds up a trick coin, his figure measuring approximately 9.75'' x 8.5''. The drawing is rendered in graphite and labeled 88 in the bottom right with an additional label near the drawing. Minor edge and handling wear with light age-related toning. Faint smudges, erased lines, and small superficial wrinkles. Very Good condition.
