Disney Auctions Exclusive - Rare "Pluto" Limited Edition Big Figure As-New in Box (Walt Disney, 2004-05). "Hey, Pluto!" Mickey Mouse's loyal and lovable pup is celebrated in this Disney Auctions Exclusive Limited Edition Pluto Big Figure! Disney Big Figures debuted in 1989 with a simple release of the "Disney Standard Characters" Mickey and Goofy and Scrooge Mc Duck. However, Disney retail branches expanded the collection to include exclusive and limited-edition figure releases based on popular feature films, issued through The Disney Store, The Disney Catalog, and Disney Parks. The sensational bloodhound debuted in "The Chain Gang" (1930) and after much development by ben Sharpsteen, Norm Ferguson, and others, Pluto went on to co-star or star in more than 110 short films between 1930 and 1995. This collectible large Disney Big Figure presents a colorful, red-collared version of Pluto, accented with a colorful palette, presented atop a bright "grassy" base featuring Pluto's trademark dog bowl and a "bone" accessory. The Big Figure was released for a limited time through Disney Auctions in a limited edition of 250, swiftly sold-out and was "retired", and has long since been sought after by collectors. Measuring 16" x 17" x 26", this large-sized tribute to the Disney Standard Character is in Very Good condition, exhibiting minor scuffing from its tail rubbing the leg. Pluto is accompanied by his polyform packaging, and the original 20" x 23.5" x 28" box. The box is in Good condition exhibiting minor wear.
