Description

The Dognapper Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1934). Mickey and a long-billed Donald rush to save Minnie's dog Fifi as police officers after she is abducted by the villainous Peg-Leg Pete. This short was released in 1934 and was directed by David Hand (1900 - 1986). This was the third appearance of Donald Duck and includes his early long-billed design. The 12 field 2-peghole drawing is done in graphite with color pencil. It features the two on a motorcycle rushing forward with determined expressions and action lines trailing behind them. You can find this frame at roughly 2:05 when Mickey and Donald rush up the bridge. They measure about 4.25'' x 3.5'' not including the clouds behind them. They are labeled 12A. Light age-related toning with two reinforced pegholes. Minor edge and handling wear. Very Good condition for this piece of Disney animation history.
