Description
SpongeBob SquarePants "Hooky" SpongeBob Production Cel with "Scaredy Pants" Master Background (Nickelodeon, 2000/1999). From the SpongeBob SquarePants Episode "Hooky," we have in this lot a spectacular hand-painted production cel displaying a hysterical image of SpongeBob without his iconic square pants, as seen at about the 11:12 mark of the Episode "Hooky." Playing around with hooks that descend from the sky, SpongeBob finds it thrilling to challenge the mysterious objects, jumping just before it gets out of the water. When our daredevil protagonist gets his pants hooked, his only way to escape is to abandon his characteristic clothes, launching him into the Krusty Krab's glass door as seen in this lot. SpongeBob measures an outstanding figure size of 5.25" x 4.5" on the 12-field production cel, numbered S9 in the bottom right corner. This comical image of SpongeBob is showcased on a Master background from the Episode "Scaredy Pants," showcasing a great view of Bikini Bottom at night from inside the Krusty Krab, created in gouache on background board measuring an image size of 11.5" x 8", attributed to Andy Clark, Michael Chen, or Peter Bennet. The Master background shows light surface scuffing and residue paint on the handles. Showcasing light handling and edge wear from production. The lot is in Very Good condition.Auction Info
