Mr. Peabody and Sherman with Blond Hair Scene Cel Signed by Jay Ward (Jay Ward, c. 1980s). "Sherman, set the Wayback Machine for 1959!" Mr. Peabody and Sherman are featured in this superb hand-inked and hand-painted 12 field Scene Cel. In 91 animated segments featured in the various Rocky and Bullwinkle programs (Rocky and his Friends, The Bullwinkle Show and others), time-travelling dog genius Mr. Peabody and his "pet boy" Sherman met and assisted lots of important names in history - Nero, Confucius, Jules Verne, and Mata Hari, to name a few. As most original production cels from Jay Ward programs were not preserved, specially made scene cels like this are about your only alternative; they were originally sold at the Dudley Do-Right Emporium located on Sunset Boulevard in Hollywood from 1971 to 2005. Whenever Jay Ward (1920 - 1989) was in the shop, he would personally hand-sign cels, as he did with this one. "Mr. Peabody and Sherman" Scene Cels are scarce in comparison to those featuring Rocky and Bullwinkle and Dudley Do-Right, and this is a rare one (note his blond hair rather than his usual red or brown locks). Mr. Peabody has an approximate image size of 2.75" x 3.75" while Sherman measures 2.25" x 4.75". The Wayback Machine is also hand-inked; the orange background is a sheet of Pantone Gradient paper.
