Description

Boat Builders Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing Group of 2 (Walt Disney, 1938). "Build your own boat! Even a child can do it." Mickey Mouse prepares to set up the retractable mast of his ready-cut do-it-yourself boat kit in this excellent set of two original animation drawings. These drawings were created for the moments seen at the 1:25 and 1:36 marks of the Ben Sharpsteen-directed theatrical short Boat Builders. Released on 2/25/1938, Boat Builders follows the comedic trio of Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as they attempt to build a boat from a kit that insists "all you do is put it together." These fantastic drawings from the beloved classic cartoon are rendered in graphite and color pencil on 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. Mickey measures 3.75" and 4.25" tall. The drawings are numbered 12 and 49 in the lower right corner, and they show minor handling and edge wear from normal use in production. Light age-related toning, and the condition is Very Good.
