Rocky the Flying Squirrel Scene Cel Signed by June Foray (Jay Ward, 1988). Jay Ward's studio store, The Dudley Do-Right Emporium was located on Sunset Blvd. in West Hollywood and it sold a variety of treasures based on the studio's shows and characters including hand-painted scene cels. Since Jay Ward Studios production cels were painted in Mexico and destroyed after use, the only available cels were created for sale in this shop. Offered here is a hand-inked, hand-painted Rocket J. Squirrel scene cel hand-signed by the legendary voice-over artist June Foray (1920 - 2017). She provided the voice of Rocky along with a slew of others for practically all of the top animation studios throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries. Originally sold unsigned, this piece was autographed at an animation gallery presentation in 1992. The hand-inked hand-painted image of Rocky measures 6" x 5.5" on a 12 field vertical cel which is signed in the lower right just above the official Jay Ward seal. It is in a 14.5" x 16" mat with a 9" x 10.5" opening. Condition is Very Good.More information about Jay Ward Studios. See also: Ward Studios Artist.
