Description

The Mail Pilot Mickey Mouse Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1933). The intrepid mail pilot Mickey Mouse lands triumphantly after being attacked in this great animation drawing from the Dave Hand-directed 1933 short The Mail Pilot. Entrusted with a chest of Money, Mickey flies through mountains and storms just to be confronted by the vicious Pete, who is more than ready to take the chest for himself. The drawing has Mickey landing without its wings and with Pete's harpoon still attached to the back of its plane, as seen at the 6:44 mark of the short, measuring an image size of 9.25" x 6" rendered in graphite with colored pencil details on the 12 field 2-peghole animation sheet numbered 19 in the bottom right corner. The lot presents very light age-related toning, with minor handling and edge wear from production. In Very Good condition.
