Spicy Mystery Stories #18 November 1936 (Culture) CGC FN 6.0 Off-white to white pages. H. J. Ward served up a spicy skeleton cover featuring the Grim Reaper here for a story by Robert Leslie Bellem. This image would've been perfect for a classic pre-Code horror comic book, although it predates the creation of most comic book companies, let alone horror comics. If this were a comic, it would be five figures; our last sale of a raw FN copy (tying with this for our best to date) ended at $3,480. Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition 2020 VG 4.0 value = $200; VF 8.0 value = $600. CGC census 10/25: 1 in 6.0, 1 higher.
