Description

Will Eisner Invisible People #3 Story Pages 7-8 Original Art (Kitchen, 1992). Desperate to marry following the death of her possessive father, a middle-aged spinster inquires about a bachelor who is known to be attached to his possessive mother. The intense sequence advances master artist Eisner's cycle of personally observed tales of tenement life, which had began in earnest in 1978 with A Contract with God. Eisner, of course, had presented many such tenement or street-life stories since the heyday of his groundbreaking series, The Spirit, during the 1940s. Invisible People #3 also includes the story's title, "Mortal Combat," as part of its cover billing. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 9" x 13". Excellent condition.
