Pocket Monsters Midori - VGA 90 NM+/MT Unopened, Game Boy Nintendo 1996 JPN. On VGA's September census, only one copy of this game has a higher grade than this beautiful example. One of the two original Game Boy titles that launched the Pokémon phenomenon in Japan, Pocket Monsters Midori (Pokémon Green) was released alongside Pocket Monsters Aka (Pokémon Red), introducing players to the Kanto region, 151 Pokémon, and the goal of becoming a Pokémon Master. While U.S. fans were first introduced to the series through Pokémon Red and Blue, this Japanese game predates the American launch by over two and a half years. As one of the true first editions in the franchise, Pokémon Green holds a special place in gaming history and remains a coveted prize for serious collectors. While the box has light rubbing, indentions, and edge dings in spots, they are extremely minor, and the game remains in excellent condition.Auction Info
