Description

Group Lot of 2 Super Mario Club Communication Cartridges - CIB [Red Versions, Red Box, Blue Box], Famicom Nintendo 1991 JPN. Offered here are two complete-in-box copies of Nintendo's Super Mario Club communication cartridge: the blue-logo variant (FCN000-08), distributed primarily to internal developers and testers, and the red-logo variant (FCN000-09), distributed more widely to retailers and stores for collecting consumer insights. The blue edition is notably harder to find, yet both cartridges are identical in content, with the distinction lying in packaging and intended audience. Each copy includes the cartridge, plastic tray, and baggie; the boxes show only the most minor wear, and the cartridges themselves remain in like-new condition.

Originally created for Nintendo's internal QA division and retail partners, the Super Mario Club cartridge connected through the Family Computer Network System to conduct surveys, log debug reports, and provide access to Famicom-related information. Though not a traditional game, the program-housed in a durable metal cartridge-featured whimsical appearances by Mario and Luigi, underscoring its playful interface. The Mario Club Co., Ltd. logo on the packaging represents an early branding hallmark of Nintendo's official quality assurance arm. Untested, sold as-is, no returns.
