Super Mario Bros. 2 - CGC 8.5 CIB [Rev-A, Round SOQ, First Production], NES Nintendo 1988 USA. [Box: 8.5; Cart: 9.4; Manual: 7.5; Overall: 8.5] While Super Mario Bros. 2 was a huge departure from the original game in terms of battling enemies, level layout, and numerous other factors, it was a classic in its own right, and this is a very nicely preserved copy. Many gamers well-versed in video game history know that the reason the game was so much different than the first Super Mario Bros. is that the Japanese version was considered too difficult for Americans, so an easier game, Yume Kojo: Doki Doki Panic, was modified for the US to be sold as Super Mario Bros. 2. Even so, it is plenty challenging!
