Description

Black Mask #132 December 1929 (Pro-Distribution) Condition: GD+. The penultimate section of "The Maltese Falcon" makes this an incredibly desirable pulp! We've never offered this rare issue before, and it is presented alongside all other parts of the classic detective tale. This issue includes "The Maltese Falcon" by Dashiell Hammett, part four of five, and a cover by J. W. Schlaikjer. Bookery's describes as "uncommon at best".
The majority of the spine is missing with bug chews to spine and overhangs, and pencil writing and indentations to the front cover and opening pages. Despite this, the front cover is still firmly attached and has great eye appeal, and the interiors are supple white pages. Bookery's Guide to Pulps Second Edition GD value = $200.
From the Paul Harris Boardman Collection.
