Description

All-American Comics #1 (DC, 1939) CGC VG/FN 5.0 Cream to off-white pages. One of DC's earliest titles boasted cover art by Sheldon Mayer and interior art by Bud Fisher. Hop Harrigan makes his first appearance here, and went on to enjoy a 99 issue ride lasting over nine years. For the premiere issue of a long-running DC title born in the whirlwind early years of the Golden Age, the book is still remarkably affordable. The highest grade CGC has awarded to a copy of the issue is VF+ 8.5 and only four copies have been graded higher than this mid-grade example. Overstreet 2002 GD 2.0 value = $700; FN 6.0 value = $2,100.
