Captain Savage #1 Boston pedigree (Marvel, 1968) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages. Captain Savage, who had first appeared in the pages of Sgt. Fury, got his own team ("Yakkety" Yates, "Blarney" Stone et al.) and his own series here. Fury and his Howlers put in an appearance in the story. The cover and art are by Dick Ayers and Syd Shores. This is the only 9.8, and the highest-graded copy overall, that CGC has certified to date. Overstreet 2005 NM- 9.2 value = $55.
