Description

Law Against Crime #1 (Essenkay Publishing, 1948) CGC VF+ 8.5 White pages. Featuring (supposedly) "Real stories from police files," this series contained half "true" crime stories, and half funny animal fare! Very weird, to be sure. But the real attraction is L. B. Cole's fantastically detailed electrocution cover. And even better, Cole also provides interior art in this issue. It's a book that's hard to find in high grade, due to the easily damaged black cover. This is currently the highest CGC-graded copy of this issue. Overstreet 2004 VF 8.0 value = $450; VF/NM 9.0 value = $675.
