Jean Giraud (Moebius) Blueberry, The Lost Dutchman's Mine (La Mine de l'Allemand Perdu) #11 Partial Story Page 21b Original Art (Dargaud, 1972). In the early 1960s, during the creative boom of the Franco-Belgian comic scene, Jean Giraud -- later known as Moebius -- and writer Jean-Michel Charlier created one of the most iconic works in European comics: Blueberry. The series quickly became a cornerstone of the genre and an international reference. This half story page, taken from the 11th album of the renowned adventure series, features Blueberry -- now a marshal in a small frontier town -- on the trail of Prosit, a dangerous con man who may pose a threat to the life of his friend, Jimmy McClure! A beautifully composed piece, originally published in 1969 in Issue #507 of Pilote magazine, executed in ink and white paint over graphite on Bristol board, with an image area of 14.5" x 9". Adhesive tape residue in the margins, light toning, and handling wear. In Very Good condition.
