Description

Marvel Mystery Comics #23 (Timely, 1941) CGC VF 8.0 Cream to off-white pages. Alex Schomburg is a victim of his own excellence. If this were his only cover, it would be an Overstreet "classic," but among his many other masterpieces it rates nary a mention. Senses-numbing Nazi action... well, the action is mostly being wreaked upon the Nazis by the Human Torch in this cover, created months before the U.S.A. entered the war . This issue also features the origin of the Vision. One other copy of issue #23 beats this one out, by a mere half-grade, in CGC's latest census. Overstreet 2002 VF 8.0 value = $1,194.
