Description
Halloween Book Display Toppers Original Art and Prints Group of 11 (Stoneway, c. 1980s). A key element in garnering good sales for a product is, of course, an eye-catching display. Here we have a pair of original Halloween themed book display toppers created for the publishing company Stoneway, who resided under the Cav-Mart umbrella of brands best known for their 17" x 22" giant coloring books. These toppers beckon shoppers with a cute and spooky spider or witch promising "jumbo treats" and "Halloween fun." The pair have each been rendered by hand in ink and artist marker to an image size of 18.5" x 10.25" and mounted to boards with an overall size of 20" x 15". An additional topper mechanical of the same image size and overall dimensions is present, it is composed of photostats of the witch with a different slogan. Also included are 8 prints of the original witch and spider illustrations on 17" x 11" paper. With minimal handling and light edgewear, this lot is in Very Good condition.From the Samuel Lowe Company Archives.
