Description
Virgil Ross - Ali Baba Bunny Signed Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck Drawing (Warner Brothers, c. 1990). Bugs Bunny dons a turban in this drawing inspired by Merrie Melodies short Ali Baba Bunny. This drawing depicts a smug-looking Bugs standing next to Daffy, who glares furiously at the rabbit. The drawing is signed in its lower right corner by the artist, Virgil Ross (1907 - 1996). Virgil Ross was one of the pioneering animators of Bugs Bunny, and in 1988, Ross received the Winsor McKay Achievement Award, one of the most prestigious awards in animation. This gorgeous piece is rendered with graphite and colored pencil on paper. The drawing is framed with glass and matted, with a matboard aperture of 12" x 9.5". This wonderful drawing is in Fine condition, with only minor handling, and the frame is sold as-is.Auction Info
