Description

The Reluctant Dragon Sir Giles Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1941). "I promise not to rant or roar, and scourge the countryside anymore!" says the poetry-loving, gentle-but-misunderstood dragon in this short, which was framed in the feature film with radio comedian Robert Benchley touring the Disney studios. Here's a rare original 12 field animation drawing from the film, featuring the "Dragon Slayer" Sir Giles on horseback in a great action pose. The drawing is in graphite with green pencil highlights and a red pencil shadow outline. The drawing has an approximate image size of 6.75" x 4.5". It's matted with an opening of 9" x 7.5", and framed with glass for an overall size of 16.75" x 15.75". The frame is sold as-is. Art condition is Very Good, with minor handling wear and mild paper toning.
