Description

Little Hiawatha Silly Symphony Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1937). Little Hiawatha kicks the dirt in frustration when the defenseless bunny he's hunting won't participate in an honorable duel to the death. This is an especially charming original animation drawing of the eponymous Little Hiawatha from the David Hand-directed theatrical short Little Hiawatha, inspired by the poem The Song of Hiawatha by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow. Create for the moment seen at the 4:37 mark of the film, this drawing features the proud hunter at 4.25" tall on the 12 field 5-peghole animation paper. The drawing is rendered in graphite and color pencil, and it is numbered 42 in the lower right corner with a hand-written timing chart. The piece shows minor handling and edge wear with light age-related toning, and the condition of this fantastic piece is Very Good.
