Steve Epting Captain America #25 "The Death of the Dream: Part One" Story Page 21 Original Art (Marvel, 2007). The Winter Soldier hitches a ride with the Falcon to bring down the helicopter from which Crossbones fired the shot that felled Captain America. This tense page comes from Ed Brubaker's landmark "The Death of Captain America" issue, where Cap surrenders under the Superhuman Registration Act only to be gunned down on the courthouse steps. His apparent death ignited an eighteen-issue epic that sent shockwaves across the entire Marvel Universe in the wake of Civil War. Ink, wash, and white paint highlights over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15". Whiteout corrections, minor creasing in top margin, and smudging. Signed by Epting in the lower right and in Excellent condition.
