Description

Comic Artist - War Comic Story Page 4 Original Art (c. 1940s). Captured American soldiers flip the script on their Axis guards and halt a cliff-bound car in this tense WWII page. The lower-right margin bears the note "Ball-New" along with the month November and an overall page number, hinting it may have been intended for Harvey's All-New Comics. Whether slated for that series or another wartime title, it's unclear if it made it into print. Ink over graphite on illustration board with an image area of 12.5" x 18". Toning, with heavy whiteout corrections, smudging/soiling, rounded corners, abrasions, and edge/handling wear. In Very Good condition.
