John Buscema and the Crusty Bunkers Conan the Barbarian #45 Story Page 3 Original Art (Marvel, 1974). The Cimmerian steps in to defend a fellow bar patron -- a man with a dark streak through his blonde hair -- who is targeted by the bullish, drunken Tumma. This page features early John Buscema artwork on Conan, with inks credited to the "Crusty Bunkers," the collective pseudonym coined by Neal Adams for a group of inkers. Created in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15". Trimmed edges, horizontal crease across page and edge creasing, spot staining in Panels 1-3, sticker residue and staining in Panel 6, pinhole in gutter, whiteout corrections, toning, tape residue staining on top/bottom edges, marginal notes, blue pencil editorial marks, tape over "Continued... " and page number paste-ups, tape on right lower right edge, and handling wear. Signed by Buscema in the top margin. In Very Good condition.
