Description

Al Capp (as Al Caplin) Colonel Gilfeather Daily Comic Strip Original Art dated 9-2-32 (A. P., 1932). Before there was Little Abner, the young Al Capp (19 at the time of this daily), using his birth name of Al Caplin, drew the humor panel Cornel Gilfeather. Ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 8.75" x 8.25". Moderate toning, text is hand-drawn paste-up correction, light smudging, corner and edge wear. Signed and in Very Good condition.
