Description

Patrick Block - Donald Duck Comic Book Covers Concept Drawings Original Art Group of 2 (Walt Disney/Gladstone, c. 1990s). Pair of original concept drawings for issues of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories and Donald Duck, each starring Donald with nephews Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Artist Patrick Block was a close associate of Carl Barks, working with the Duck Man on his final Disney story, "Somewhere in Nowhere." These roughs for an unnumbered issue of Walt Disney's Comics and Stories and for Donald Duck #295; the concepts were apparently not used, but these are still very cool items from a master of Disney Duck art. The art is in graphite with watercolor, with images edge-to-edge on lightweight board measuring approximately 9" x 12". Both cover concepts have been hand-signed by Patrick Block. Condition is Very Good condition with minor handling.
