My Little Pony: Rescue at Midnight Castle Oversized Background Color Key (Hasbro/Marvel, 1984). This animated television special was originally shown on 4/14/1984; it served as the pilot for the animated series. It was later shortened and shown as the final 2-part episode of Season 1, shown on 11/20-21/1986. Here's a gorgeous, stylized outdoor scene background Color Key painting done for the special, filled with lush greens and blues. It's painted in gouache on illustration board measuring approximately 21.5" x 8"; the image is 21.5" x 6.75". There are a few flyspeck-sized marks throughout, but these hardly take away from the great eye-appeal of the painting. Good to Very Good condition, with some handling and edge wear.Auction Info
